This is a back-nut seal for use with cable fittings to lock and seal the threaded end of the connector. Highly recommended in areas that get wet frequently, and anywhere that vibration is a factor, such as RV's, trailers, campers, etc.. Screw this on with the o-ring facing out, and then screw the F connector on, then tighten this nut back against the connector.
